Rules

Students of Santa Fe Music Teachers Association members are eligible to enter.

Students of Los Alamos members are eligible to enter for an additional fee (see below).

Each student may only enter one level. There are no age restrictions.

First place winners must advance to the next level the following year.

All music must be memorized and performed without repeats.

All entrants will receive a Certificate of Participation.


Semi-final auditions will be private evaluations with one judge. Entrants will receive a written evaluation of their performance.

Ratings:

•Superior – These students will advance to the finals.

•Honorable Mention – Students will receive a ribbon, but not advance to Finals.

•Excellent

•Very Good


Finals will be in recital format with a panel of three judges.

First, second and third place winners will be selected from each level.

Semi-final and final auditions will be held February 6, 2010 at the United Church of Santa Fe.


Application form will be available online in November and must be completed by January 15, 2011.


Entry fees are due January 15, 2011:

• $25 per student for SFMTA members.

• $30 per student for Los Alamos members.


There are no refunds of fees after January 15.
